Designations
Lauren Holt Shine, Attorney at Law
A Birmingham native with extensive experience in multiple areas of employment law, disability benefits and workers’ compensation. Prior to law school, she gained inside experience through various HR and accounting positions at Holt AV/Video, a Birmingham company started by her grandfather in 1950. She received her BS in Business from UAB in 2000 and her JD from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2005. After law school, she worked in-house with a large utility company’s legal department for over three years. Lauren then worked for Birmingham firms representing employers in workers’ compensation and employment law defense from 2008 to 2011. She then began her own firm to instead represent injured and wronged employees. She is deeply passionate about helping people hurt at work and in service all over Alabama and uses the years of defense practice to assist injured workers with the many challenges they face. She developed a veterans benefits practice to assist our heroes with service connection appeals and also represents those seeking SSI and SSDI benefits. Lauren works with employers, insurance carriers, medical providers, our courts, government agencies and the community to strengthen Shine Law as a workers’ rights firm that can help you enforce your rights and receive your benefits
